Totally disagree. Dead? This game is BACK from the dead, and in a HUGE way. Everything about it looks SO figgin' good. Aside from the subscription fee thing that I still can't decide if I'd ever be willing to pay on top of actually paying for the game itself, it really does look like one of the best FFs ever. The combat looks fun and casual yet still VERY deep for people who want the depth, and it's almost like a "Best of FF" in terms of all the gameplay aspects and ...

Personally I don't care at all if publishers are going on metacritic and giving themselves good user-critic scores. Because FAR more people go on metacritic and give low user-critic scores for games they've never even played, just because they don't personally care for the franchise (so they never would have bought it anyway), or are a fanboy for a competitor, or just one of a legion of internet BS artists......it's rediculous, and a FAR bigger problem to the industry (for par...

I think they reached their target investment funding which was 3.75 million or somewhere around there, and then cut off the investment oppotunities saying "thanks, but no more".

That was their first bad move. They should have raised more knowing that whatever they raised would be matched. More=better when it comes to budget to make a game. 3.75 million is NOTHING to what it costs to make a racing game with such high detail and realistic physics. Especially if they w...

I think you completely miss the point of the sim racing fans who "invested" into this game. I guarantee 99% of them didn't invest their 20 or 50 or however much it was, with the thought of investing in it in the sense of making money. These are just Sim Racers who are really just paying to be a ble to have early access to a great new sim racing titles, and they also get the oppotunity to help mold the game to be as perfect of a sim as possible for the actual type of gamer who wi...

I think SMS should take their fund raising efforts to PSN. Work it out with Sony and PSN users can spend like $10 out of their PSN wallet to "invest" into the game just like they did for PC, and what that investment gives you is basically the same type of Beta as PC. With the weekly updates influenced by those PSN testers.

IMO, since the Gran Turismo audience is only on PSN, this is the best idea. Because SMS has the game's handling down (almost) for PC/Wheel us...

In my own mind, I'm the biggest GT fan there is. That said, I do SORT OF agree that there are alot of un-needed models of RX-7s, Miatas and Skylines. Alot of them are pretty much the same EXACT car.

But what most internet critics of all those cars that I've seen their toughts don't seem to understand is that a good percentage of all those many cars DO have important historical value to fans knowledgable about those cars. Alot of those Skylines for example (but oth...

So you're going on public record as believing that this came called The Order: 1886 ISN'T set in the year 1886 because the job listings have a silly Tolkien-esque vibe to them?

You're a gambler.

I want to know what happened to the console version of WrestleFest. It was like weeks from coming out, I even heard some of the DLC came out on the EU PSStore update one week around early december last year. But then it just dropped off the map.

Was it lost in the THQ mess? I'm not even 100% sure it was a THQ published game. I was REALLY looking forward to it.

I was one of the people questioning the price a bit, though I'm not one of the rude ones that are on the blog all the time.

I think $40 COULD be reasonable with proper depth. Like if it's 25-30 hours long to cover branching story lines and side-quests. But I personally want more of a revolution in the genre....especially for $50!! Equipment pieces (head, chest, gaunts, and legs) that actually change your character's appearance just like in a Diablo or Champions of ...

I hate to be a grammar nazi here, but but very few people know the difference here. GoW, or FBI or CIA aren't acronyms, even though even smart people call them "acronym agencies".

Acronyms are initialisms that are actually pronounced as a word. Like NASA or TARDIS. If you just say the letters, it's not an acronym.

@14Feb

You're talking as though GT5 is the epitome of what PS3 has to offer the racing genre. GT5 was probably the very first PS3 game in development, yet got delayed until 2010. It is therefore probably one of the most inefficient uses in terms of PS3's power.

Think of the amazing things Killzone 2/3, Uncharted 2/3, GoW3/A do on PS3 without even an install. That's because Sony 1st party studios made HUGE strides in coding for PS3 in/around 2008, ...

I actually also believe that GT6 will be a HUGE overall visual improvement over GT5, on the same hardware, but will be 720p resulution.

First of all you're wrong. GT5 is not full 1080p. The vertical is 1080, but the horizontal (or is it the opposite) is lower than the horizonal of full 1080p. It's far less.

Remember GT5 was one of the first PS3 games in development, if not THE first. And if you recall, most of the first wave of PS3 games were Full 108...

Nothing says you have to stop playing GT6 on PS3 just because PS4 is out. Do you know why it is people like you and I still play GT5 to this day instead of playing other, newer racing games that have come out? It's not graphics because GT5's graphics have been surpassed now. It's because nothing has come out yet that beats GT5 for quality of the racing in general.....it's physics and feel, and accessibility for all levels of racers (gamers).

Remember, when it ...

This article makes all the points I've been saying in regards to PS3 or PS4 for GT6. It obviously HAS to be on PS3. The series has a big appetite for money to even be made at this point. It NEEDS to sell many millions of copies. It can't be on a PS4 launch. It could be a dual release, but it would just canibalize the rest of the launch game sales.

My prediction for PS4's first GT is that if GT6 is an absolute masterpiece, critically acclaimed and is just pretty mu...

When video game fans demand something, if it makes sense, it's smart to do it or something close to it. And yes, from the start of PS3, it's fans demanded an equivilent to achievements. I was one of them right from the start on the forum and then the Blog. We're getting the same game, and they add to the replayability of games sometimes giving you different kinds of missions than just what's in the game. And they are developer made, not MS made. I was actively saying this to S...

If it were any other console, I'd say you were right logicwins. Console's user bases grow over time.....it's common sense. But with 360......i don't know. How many sales does 360 have? About 70M like PS3, right? 360 had about 10M it's first year if memory serves.....well.....I could see each of those 10 million having bought 7 replacement 360s.......some maybe MS COULD get 98% of it's user base at launch.......

*I'm being silly obviously, for the v...

You are delusional dude......or very nicely brainwashed. Sony has NEVER copied MS. That's the furthest from reality I've.......Sony has gone in the complete opposite direction as MS. Gamers demanded and are demanding trophies and cross-game chat. Sony wouldn't care about those features on their own, otherwise they would have been in. You're criticizing Sony for giving it's fans what they're asking for? Interesting view you have there.........

When has MS ever put any effort into making their own exclusives? They MAYBE helped fund/advertise a tiny handfull. All the decent exclusives 360 had early on were just 3rd party stuff that MS paid for some times exclusivity on. I'm not a MS fan, and even when I had my xboxes, I wasn't a Halo fan, sO I wouldn't know......were Halo 1-3 even really a first party studio for MS? What about Turn10? Are they first party for MS......or are they more like a 3rd party that is adamantly exc...

I'm looking forward to this game.....and for a while it looked like it would be "setting a new standard" in certain ways. But it was more promising sounding when it was coming out this Fall. Then it got pushed to Spring 2014, which was disappointing but, OK....but now being pushed to Q2 2014 (which will turn into next Fall....Sept the earliest.......well....exactly what WILL the standard be about a year and a half from now?

This is a BAD time to try and predict ...

Are you talking about noise as in like interference, like a buzz or hiss in the background, and kinda weak sound for actual stuff you're watching/playing? If so, the problem is on your end for sure. Myself and some friends are kinda audiophiles......though not the supergeek kind. But enough to know our stuff and own fairly high end components. And we both consider our PS3s to be our cleanest source device.

It sounds to me that people online convinced you thos $5 hdmi cabl...
